It would have been a normal dine-out for Vansh Chawla, a resident of Classic Residency, Raj Nagar Extension, but his destiny had decided something else and costly for him.
Chawla, was enjoying a meal at a restaurant in D Mall of Indirapuram on Sunday when he heard a loud crash sound coming from the roadside, where he had parked his vehicle. Apprehending it could be his car, Chawla ran to check, but what he saw was a disaster. A school bus was ramming on the vehicles, including his car.
An allegedly drunk man, driving the bus, had hit five vehicles including a motorbike.
While four cars were parked on the roadside, one Honda car was hit when it was in motion. The Honda car was driven by a couple who received minor injuries in it. On the other hand, a woman and a small child riding the motorbike were also injured.
Immediately after the incident, an FIR was registered under section 279 (Rash driving or riding in public way) and 427 (mischief causing damage) of Indian Penal Code (IPC). However, the driver ran away from the spot.
The SHO Indirapuram, Deepak Sharma said that police are in search of the driver. “We are yet to identify the escaping driver,” he added.
