Gurugram: ILD Greens residents protest against builder

Residents of ILD Greens, a high rise residential society in Sector-37 C protested against the builder for not fulfilling the promises made by him. The residents carried banners and shouted slogans against International Land Developers (ILD).

According to the residents, the builder has failed to provide them with the basic facilities. They alleged that the builder charges a hefty amount for maintenance every month.

Later, they went to sector 10 A police station to file a complaint against the builder.

The homebuyer questioned the builder about the maintenance charges when he failed to provide them with basic amenities. Vipin Chauhan, a resident of ILD Greens said, "The living condition in the society is pathetic with no proper electricity, water and sewer connection, lack of cleanliness and negligible security. Even after paying a huge amount for maintenance, they have not given any kind of facility to us."

"We have time and again raised our complaints to the builder but in vain. There are no safety measures taken up by the builder to ensure the safety and security of the residents. We have lodged a complaint against the builder to the police for denying us basic facilities." Chauhan added.

According to the residents, the builder had launched ILD Greens in 2008-09. Out of seven towers, only three towers are occupied while others are still being constructed. The residents informed that ILD Greens has total of 700 flats out of which 140 are occupied.

The residents said that for the last three years electricity is being supplied from generator. Pradeep Sharma, another resident of the society said, "The builder had promised to provide parking, club and swimming pool facility, which has not been fulfilled yet. He is yet to take power connection from the electricity department. Electricity from the generator is very expensive and we are forced to pay at the rate of 8.32 paise per unit."
