Residents of Vatika City, sector 49, Gurugram celebrated 73rd Independence Day on Thursday with great fervour and passion.

On this occasion, RWA President of Vatika City Giriraj Gupta hoisted the Flag dressed in kurta pyjama and a Tri color turban. The national anthem was sung by children, senior citizens along with all the residents present.

The culture committee Chairperson, Nirupama said, "Celebrating this day is important as it reminds all of us about our duties towards each other and to the nation. It’s also important that our kids understand the importance of Independance day and the heritage that we carry."

"The spirit of Vatikans are totally visible and is very inspiring. Parents ensure that their kids participate in the cultural program,” she added

The program was also attended by RWA Vice President Satyavan Dagar, General Secretary Anil Malhotra and all members of RWA. A vote of thanks was given by senior citizen Jasbir Chhabra.
