In many societies, the flag was hoisted by the senior members.
Just like every true citizens of the country, Dwarka residents too celebrated India’s 73rd Independence Day with great enthusiasm. Cooperative Group Housing Societies, DDA Pockets, social organisations and institutions celebrated the day by organising various activities full of patriotic feeling. Public representatives roamed in the area and hoisted National Flag in the societies. In many societies, the flag was hoisted by the senior members.
Apart from flag hoisting ceremony, societies also organised different types of cultural and entertainment programmes for children. Children performed the activities with concept of freedom struggle, freedom and unity in integrity. They were given prizes and sweets for their performances. At some places plantation programmes were also carried.
