On August 15 when the whole India was celebrating Independence Day and Rakha Bandhan, a 29-year-old person was abducted by three unidentified persons from sector 50, Noida.

The victim, Surya Kumar, has lodged an First Information Report (FIR) in sector 29 police station. In his FIR, he stated that on August 15, around 10:10 pm he came out of his flat to go to a nearby market in sector 50 to collect Rakhi from one of his cousin brother. An unidentified person sitting on driving seat of a Hyndai Santro car called him out and asked for an address.

According to the FIR report, as Kumar bent down to read the address mentioned on the paper, two unidentified people pushed him inside the car and drove the car. When he resisted they thrashed him badly. They drove the car from Noida to Noida Extension and around 2 am they dropped him at Lal Kuan at NH -24.

“They kept beating me and asked for Rs 1 lakh. I resisted and requested but they did not stop the car and took out my purse, wrist watch, mobile and Rs 1500 cash from my pocket,” Kumar wrote in his FIR.

After they threw him from the car, Kumar somehow reached a nearby police station Kabir Nagar Chowki and narrated the incident. Kabir Nagar police station informed about the man to sector 49 police station. The victim was admitted into district hospital in Noida. Next morning (August 16) Kumar was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Noida sector 63 for medical aid.

Bharat Kumar, one his cousin who live in Arihant Arden, a residential society in Greater Noida West, told CitySpidey that around 10 pm, he called Surya (Rahul) and informed him that he was coming to his flat. “I was coming back from Malviya Nagar from my sister’s house. My sister had sent a Rakhi for Surya. On my way, I called and told him that I am coming. Surya asked me to meet him at market of sector 50 Noida as he had to buy some goods from there,” Bharat said.

“Around 10:15, I reached the market and dialed his number around 10-12 times, but he did not response. I kept calling him and after one hour he picked up my call and said that he had gone out with his friends so he kept disconnecting my phone. Around 2:30 am, I received a call from Kabir Nagar police chowki and they informed me about him,” Bharat added.

As per the medical report, Surya has received several injuries on his face, fracture on left maxillary bone.
