GreNo: Panchsheel Hynish residents meet management to discuss society issues

Two days after a lift in a tower of Panchsheel Hynish fell from 10th floor to the ground floor, residents of the society on Saturday held a meeting with the management team.

In the meeting, the residents raised several issues related to security and daily maintenance in the society. They demanded to install CCTV cameras in all the lifts of the society.

Panchali Shyamdev, a resident said, "Installing CCTV in lifts has been a long pending demand of the residents which is not provided by the management yet. Residents themselves have installed CCTV cameras in couple of lifts with their own money. After 15th August incident in which two children escaped uninjured, residents were annoyed with the careless approach of the management. In the meeting we were assured that CCTVs will be installed along with intercoms.”

Following the lift fall incident, residents had lodged a complaint against the management in Bisrakh police station.

Residents also alleged that the management do not provide details regarding maintenance. Apart from it residents also demanded that security guards should be properly trained to meet the challenges during emergency.

"Security guards are not trained. They are not even aware of alarm if raised during emergency. We have demanded that only trained security guards should be appointed," Shyamdev added.

Residents further said that the head of maintenance Sanjeev Sinha assured that residents' demands to be fulfilled. "We were assured that security guards will be trained to handle emergency situation within 15 days. The management has also assured that CCTVs will be installed in all lifts within two months," Adesh Kumar, another resident of the society.
