No parking here!

Noida: Supertech Capetown’s residents a hassled lot as underground parking lot not ready yet; they say paid parking slots allotted in haphazard manner.

No parking here!

A space to park your car has become just as important as the car itself these days, so much so that you even have to shell out a good deal of cash to own it. And when you still don’t get what you paid for, there is no end to your tales of woe.

That pretty much sums up the situation residents of Supertech Capetown, Sector 74, Noida, are facing these days. The underground parking lot that residents have already paid for and where they have been allotted space is still not ready.

The result is that they are forced to park their vehicles either on open grounds or on the roads of the society. In fact, about 100 residents have been given allotment letters for their paid car parking slots but that is of no use as the parking area is still not operational.

There are another 150 of them who have not received their allotment letters but have paid the full amount to the builder for their parking slots. Their problems do not end here though. Residents complain that whenever they raise the issue with the facility department of the society, they are never told the exact date when the work will be completed.

Krishna Kumar, a resident, said that he paid three lakh rupees for a parking slot and also got the allotment letter but as work on the underground parking is still on, the allotment letter hardly means anything to him. He is forced to park his car in an open area of the society.

Sanjeev Sharma, another resident, said, “The parking slots have been allotted to residents in a very unplanned and haphazard manner. The parking slot allotted to me is almost 500 metres away from my flat. The builder could have allotted me a slot near to my flat but the builder lacked in planning.”

When City Spidey took up the matter with the SK Chaudhary, vice-president (civil) of Supertech Capetown, he said that the work on the parking slots will be completed this month. “200 residents have already been given parking slots last month and the remaining residents will get this facility soon,” he added.
