RESIDENT SPEAK: NMRC wakeup! Develop area around Aqua Line

Many of us must have passed through various areas that fall under the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation), a majority of the region is taken care of by the Delhi and Noida administration. So, it would be wise to say that the region that falls under DMRC jurisdiction is safe and sound to travel and walk. But I am not sure if I can say the same for NMRC (Noida Metro Rail Corporation), because I have seen the situation under their rule dropping from good to bad and then worst, especially for the elevated Aqua-Line starting from sector 52 towards NSEZ stations.

This line was inaugurated in January and it seems that the authority has already forgotten about its existence because of low footfalls. I commute regularly by the road below the elevated Aqua line, which is well designed, but the development works are not completed yet.

The central verge, where green grasses and flowers' plants are to be planted, cries for NMRC official's attention. Currently, this place has turned into a habitation for stray animals like cow bulls, dogs, etc as they reset in the verge while it rains and in general. Apart from it, the area lacks proper lighting facility, after dark the place becomes a heavenly place for negative elements. This can further cause problems for the metro commuters also. The barricading with side drains is still not completed, and the parking area where cars and bike are supposed to park is also in bad shape.

Through social media, I tried to draw the attention of NMRC, but so far they have been non-responsive, in the era of digital time where organisations are smart enough in resolving issues via the internet. but NMRC is totally indifferent.

The central verge stretching from Sector 76 to Sector 101and further towards NSEZ/Dadri road station are still in undeveloped mode . The area is filled with mud and during a windy day, it gets difficult to drive through that area. Also, it causes severe air pollution.

I would request the authorities to look into the matter and develop the area as soon as possible as it is causing inconvenience to the commuters and spoiling their name.
