Noida: ET Infrastructure builder booked for forging Allahabad High Court's order

A builder, who allegedly tried to avoid paying dues of his firm owed to Noida Authority by forging Allahabad High Court's order, has been booked for fraud and forgery, a senior spokesperson from Noida Authority said.

Sushant Agrawal, director of ET Infrastructure, owed an amount of Rs 26.80 crore to Noida authority related to a plot in sector 16 which houses the palatial World Trade Tower.

“On July 20, he (Agrawal) came to the authority. He met some officials claiming that he has a copy of HC’s order which states that his dues of Rs 26.80 crore should not be taken. He said that the court passed the order on March 14,” said the spokesperson.

“Later, officials from the commerce department revealed that Allahabad High Court has not passed any such order on March 28. It further emerged that he had forged another order of the court which was passed on February 28 and had presented the copy of that order to the authority,” the spokesperson added.

Following the findings of the officials, an FIR was lodged against Agarwal in sector 20 police station. Agarwal has been booked under IPC section 420 (fraud) and 467, 468, 417 (related with forgery of documents).
