Noida: Sai apartment residents worried about street light cables left open

Residents of Sai Apartment, a densely populated society in sector 71, complained against a private agency hired by Noida Industrial Development Authority for not taking care of street lights in the city.

They said that though the authority had hired the agency for maintaining the street lights, it seems like that the agency is not concerned with it. Agency's lethargic attitude may prove dangerous for people. The cables which had to be laid underground are left open in panel boxes. These cables can result in the death of people due to electrocution.

Manish Singh, a vigilant resident lodged a complaint with CEO of Noida demanding immediate action against the problem. He made the complaint via Twitter. In his post, he uploaded four pictures of open live cables to draw the attention of top officers towards this problem. He tweeted, "This is the picture of Sai apartment sector-71, Noida. The street light cable was not (laid) underground by the concerned department. It may cause an accident in society. plz (please) get this underground.”
