Noida: 506 Amrapali homebuyers submit docs with court receiver till Thursday

Acting as a good samaritan the Apartment Owner's Association ( AOA) of Amrapali Sapphire Phase 1, situated in sector 45 of Noida, is helping the homebuyers to verify their documents and submit them with the court receiver appointed by the Supreme Court.

"As on Thursday, documents of 506 homebuyers have been submitted with the court receiver", said AOA treasurer Preeti Kaushal.

When the CitySpidey reporter visited the Amrapali Sapphire clubhouse, 9 homebuyers had completed the initial verification by 2 pm.

The AOA on Friday will submit over 25 verified documents of the homebuyers with the court receiver.

The Treasurer said that more than 70 percent homebuyers have submitted the initial documentation as instructed by the Supreme Court.

Dr DK Singh from Varanasi said, "Though I was not present physically, I had given my consent to use my name in the filed petition, as of now we don't have any opinion, we all are following Supreme Court's laid instructions.

Singh had bought a flat worth Rs 52 lakhs in 2009 and was supposed to get possession of the same in 2016. He said, "I have already made the full payment, my flat no. is H- 1502, we trusted them (Amrapali group)."

Singh's wife Kiran said, "This process has bought us some relief, earlier we had nothing in hand, and now at least we have hopes".

"We bought the house as a purpose of investment since all our friends were buying houses elsewhere. You feel stuck and cheated seeing the people who had brought something after you are living in their own flat while you struggle", Kiran added.

Another homebuyer said, " I invested my hard-earned money in it, if they cannot give our flats, we have demanded that they return our money back".

To much relief, the objectionable clause 2 and 3 have been removed and the court receiver has taken the concern and the new affidavit format has been updated and can be found on the Noida Development Authority's website.

A layout planning team by the Noida Development Authority has also visited the disputed site for recce and will be submitting a report soon.
