It is ironic that the district administration recently ordered to take strict action against defaulters for parking cars in non-parking lot, whereas Noida Industrial Development Authority allegedly authorised a parking space on the busy Dadri main road near HP refilling (Petrol Pump) station.
The parking attendant is issuing slips to commuters for parking cars on roadside here. Due to parking on this road, the three lane main road has been narrowed down to a single lane.
On one hand, the administration announced a drive against illegal parking in the city and the defaulter would be dealt with strict action, while on the other hand another administration is allowing parking on roadside which is creating traffic congestion prompting commuters to drive in wrong lanes. What kind of rules are being imposed on us (commuters)?
The authority is planning a long term solution to the problem on this route. It has already proposed to develop 4.5 km long elevated road on this route with a budget of Rs 450 crore. But they are not paying heed to short term solution to the problem due to which thousands of commuters suffer daily. If encroachment and parking from roadsides on this route is cleared, commuters would be relived from traffic jam.
