Scores of homebuyers, who had booked their homes in Amrapali Dream Valley (Enchante) in Greater Noida West, gathered to discuss various issues including, construction of flats and paying their dues as per the Supreme Court's order.
The meeting was held at Kishan Chowk during which the homebuyers raised their concerns over the delay in the construction works of the project. They also discussed how they were going to pay their dues, as the Apex Court had asked these homebuyers to deposit their pending amounts within the period of a month. Some flatbuyers also argued that despite paying 50-80 percent of the cost of their respective flats, the project was in its initial stage.
“For instance, one has booked a flat of worth Rs 40 lakh, which is considered under category C, and suppose the outstanding amount is between Rs 25 -30 lakh, how one can arrange this much huge sum in withnin a month? asked Dipankar Kumar, one of the flatbuyers.
Another key issue in the meeting was that bank disburses loan amount on the basis of construction and if the court orders to pay the amount at one time then the bank has to be directed to release the money.
“Those have self-funding may face more challenges because at one side they have paid their hard-earned money, and now they have to pay their remaining dues at one time,” Kumar added
