Massive fire breaks out in Noida's Spice Mall, all rescued safely

Several fire tenders were rushed at Spice Mall's fourth floor in Noida Sector 25 after a massive fire broke on Monday afternoon.

The fire began around 2.30 pm. Huge plumes of smoke were seen rising out of the mall's building.

As per SSP of Gautam Budh Nagar, Vaibhav Krishna, the fire had broken in an exhaust fan of the mall and no casualties were recorded.

"Fire had broken out in an exhaust fan at the top floor of Spice Mall. It has been extinguished. Through Air Handling Unit (AHU) the smoke spread to other floors, so it seemed as the fire was there on other floors also but it was only in one exhaust fan. Now there is no fire in the whole mall. All the people have been evacuated from the building. No casualties are there. Situation normal now."

Earlier in February, a fire broke out in a hospital in which several people were trapped inside the multi-storeyed building. Around 35 patients were rescued and were shifted to other local hospitals.
