Not Pizza! It’s ‘free’ services for Domino’s: Aditya Urban Casa residents

The Apartment Owner’s Association of Aditya Urban Casa, a high-rise residential society in Noida’s sector 78, has alleged that the commercial shops in the premises particularly Domino's have not paid any water consumption charges and have been using the common area of the society as a dump yard and parking space.

The AOA on August 8 in a letter addressed to the Manager of the Domino's outlet had raised several issues such as paying dues of water that is being consumed by the outlet and the encroachment they have done in the common area of the society such as installing generator, chimney and gas cylinders.

The association also pointed out through the letter that Domino's was parking their 25 to 30 two-wheeler in the common area and were dumping their waste outside in the open because of which rats can be seen running around.

Col P Chandra (Retd), the President of the AOA, told our reporters that the association has demanded Rs 4,000 per month for water and has also asked to clear the past dues of one year.

Apparently, the particular outlet is using the society’s water supply and has paid no water charges of over 10 months while the residents are charged Rs 280 per flat.

Chandra said, “Domino's has encroached on the society’s common area which according to the approved plan by the Noida Authority was suppose to be a green belt.”

“They have installed the chimney on the main entrance gate which cause inconvenience to the residents and visitors,” he added.

The president told our reporter that after the letter, on August 9, a representative from Jubilant foods had called him and said that Domino's had a contract with the builder.

“When questioned to share the contract, the representative said it cannot be disclosed and asked for 2-3 days time to get back,” Chandra said.

“It's been over 14 days and nobody has replied. They are still using our services,” he added.

Our reporter tried reaching the builder and the representative of Jubilant foods several times for their side of the story but no call was answered.
