Noida police booked Supertech chairman in 44 lakh fraud case
The chairman of the Supertech real estate group has been booked by Noida police allegedly for illegal construction and selling flats in the name of the Czar Suites project. The real estate firm’s chairman RK Arora was booked following a complaint of flatbuyer RK Dwivedi, who alleged that the builder has cheated him.
As per the police, Dwivedi lodged an FIR against the builder saying he had booked a flat in the Omicron project of worth Rs 38.10 lakh and as per the builder-buyer agreement the possession was supposed to be given in 2015. He further alleged that the developer demanded further Rs 7.23 crore and so far he has paid total Rs 44 lakh and he was yet to get his flat’s possession.
Later, it emerged that the builder had illegally constructed extra flats. Dwivedi alleged that the developer has constructed as many as 1904 flats whereas, the Noida Authority had permitted to construct only 844 flats. Later, when the matter reached the Allahabad High Court, they ordered a stay on the project. Dwivedi’s flat number 1008 was also in extra constructed flats.
A senior police official said, "AK Arora has been booked on the basis of RK Dwivedi’s complaint. Both, the complainant and Noida Authority has been updated on the matter. The case is investigated by the Noida Economic Wing."
