Noida: Supertech Ecociti residents demand investigation in two fire incidences

Residents of Supertech Ecociti, a high rise residential society in Sector 137, Noida have been demanding an investigation after massive fire broke out in the society.

An ex-Indian Air Force officer Cdr Raj Kumar, who is also resident of the society, lodged a complaint with Vaibhav Krishna, SSP of district police, G B Nagar via Twitter demanding an investigation of the fire incidents which happened twice in two weeks.

Through his post, he informed the police officer that no investigation was done in two fire cases which took place on 18th and 26th August at Supertech Ecociti, Sector 137. He also blamed the local police saying that they are allegedly working under pressure and are not accepting any complaint. Further, he said that the lives of residents is not safe here.

Kumar even informed the Director General of Police, Uttar Pradesh about the fire incident which happened on 26 August in the society. In the post, he urged the top cop to order a high level enquiry in the matter to avoid loss of human life in future in high rises.

The post says, "After seven days when a CNG car caught fire in the basement of the society, another fire broke out in the residential tower-O of the society.'' 'This fire might have been caused due to electric short circuit as several naked wire are hanging around electric pane boxes in the society,” he added.

He also tagged the post to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath informing him that the developer was allegedly issued a fake NOC due to which lives of people residing in the society are not safe. He said that the developer should be asked to comply with norms.
