Devotees from various sectors and societies thronged the venue and offered their prayers.
New Gurugram residents on Saturday celebrated the first Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Granth Sahib with great fervour and gaiety. The event was held at Mapsko Casabella, a society based in Sector 82.
On the occassion, the Sikh Sewa Society organised a series of prayers which was followed by community langar.

Savneet Kaur, a resident of the society said, "The day holds importance significance in the Sikh community. We celebrated the occasion with great fervor."
The festival is celebrated every year after the first book of the Guru Granth Sahib was published in the year 1604, by the fifth Sikh guru, Arjan Dev.
On the occasion members of the organising group including, Yadvinder Singh, Ranjit Singh, Harmeet Singh, and many others were also present.
