In order to find the resolution on pending complaints by the residents, the Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) will hold a series of meetings from September 5 to September 11 with the representative of the Residents Welfare Association and the developer.

The residents of various high-rise societies had filed several complaints with the DTCP against their builders on the various issues pertaining to the maintenance charges, administrative charges, and others. They had sought DTCP’s intervention on the issue.

In this regard, the DTP has issued a notices to nine builders including JMD Ltd., AEZ Aloha, Raheja Developers, BPTP, Ramprastha, Reliable Realtech, Mapsko builder, Unitech Ltd. and Sare facility. In the notice, the DTP has also asked the representative of the senior management of the mentioned builders to attend the meeting with the relevant documents and action taken report.

Some RWA has accused the builder of using substandard materials in construction works, while others pointed out the lack of several basic facilities by the builder. Hemant Kumar, a resident of BPTP Park Serene said, "There are several issues which we will be highlighting during the meeting. Among many, the construction of a 24-meter road is the main issue for us and we want some concrete action on it immediately. We will also highlight the issue of erratic electricity supply, pending infrastructure development in the society, non-functional STP at the meeting. We will demand time-bound action on the issues."

Pradeep Rahi, President of Ramprastha City RWA said, "Our main focus will be to highlight the issue of an open drain which carries stormwater along with sewage of the nearby villages. This nullah is crossing through our society and even after NGT order to cover it, the authority is doing nothing. This poses a serious threat to hundreds of residents that are forced to live with the foul smell emanating from the nullah and threatening risk of disease."
