In order to streamline vehicular traffic in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) and Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) will mark areas to develop as parking spots in Indirapuram. The areas will be marked in front of high-rises as well. CRRI is preparing the second phase of its report. The report will have suggestions to tackle vehicular congestion in the upcoming 30 years.

In 2018, to streamline vehicular traffic in the city, CRRI had prepared the first phase of its report and recommended closure of various cuts in Indirapuram area.

Now, the CRRI is preparing the second phase of its report in an attempt to resolve traffic issues. This report will be submitted to GDA by December. Soon, a joint team of GDA and CRRI will mark the areas to develop parking spots in Indirapuram.

CRRI officials told that parking in front of high-rises is utmost important. "Thousands of residents live in these multi-stories and their guests visit them often. In absence of guest parking and lack of space, people haphazardly park their vehicles on the road which leads to traffic jam in internal roads of the locality," an official said.

While it's not decided how many parking spots will be developed in the area, officials of CRRI and GDA gave the possibility that the spots will be developed in high population density areas of Indirapuram. "Ahinsa Khand I & II, Vaibhav Khand and Neeti Khand areas have a huge density in terms of high-rises and the population living there. Parking spots are much needed there, told VN Singh," Chief E0ngineer of GDA.

Besides, GDA is also going to develop multilevel parking near Swarna Jayanti Park in Indirapuram. The parking lot will spawn over an area of 1800 square meters and will have the capacity for 200 four-wheelers and 100 two-wheelers. The construction is expected to start by next week.
