GreNo: Fire management sessions held at La Residentia
Though most of the people living in high-rises opt to complain about untrained security guards, Bjoy Tripathi, a resident of La Residentia-- a residential society in Greater Noida, chose to play it safe and started a fire management training session and evacuation on Saturday.
The initiative comes at a time when the residents are living under fear, especially when several fire-related incidents have taken place in the complex. With the training programme, these guards will be equipped with the basic knowledge and they would be able to take quick action during an emergency.
Bijoy talking to CitySpidey said, "It is very important to educate the guards about such issues. They are generally not aware as to what should be done or how a fire extinguisher is used."
The society has over 60 guards who were given training about the 'evacuation procedure', 'what should be done when a lift breaks down', 'emergency whistle response and coordination during danger'. Apart from this, they were also informed on maintaining entry, exit registers, and how can they manage strays in society.
