Noida Extn: 'Supertech Chor Hai' protesting homebuyers raise slogans

The homebuyers of Tower A2 and A3 in Supertech's Ecovillage-1 project situated in Noida extension took to the streets and staged a protest against the developer for not giving possession of their flats.

Holding banners, placards, and raising slogans such as, 'Supertech Hosh mein aao'; 'It is our hard-earned money' the homebuyers staged protests outside the marketing office of Supertech Ecovillage and at Noida's Hanuman Murti chowk.

The booking for Supertech's Ecovillage started around nine years ago in 2010, since then homebuyers have been eagerly waiting for the developer to handover their homes.

According to a homebuyer the project was introduced with the tagline 'Roti, Kapda and Makhaan,' but for the last nine years, they have received extended deadlines and nothing else.

Rajesh Kumar Singh, a member of Supertech Ecovillage-1 Home Buyers Association told CitySpidey, "possession of two towers with 900 flats is still to be given, while 95 percent of the payment has already been done by the buyers."

He added, "Only 5 percent of the total payment is required to be done from the homebuyers' end which is to be given when the possession is handed over".

Last year in December, Greater Noida Development Authority had given Occupancy Certificate (OC) for 13 towers namely; B1, B15, B17, E4, F5, F7, G1, G5, S1, S2, N1 consisting 1,260 units in the Ecovillage-1 project which has over 8,000 units of flat in various schemes.
