In a shocking incident, a group of unidentified miscreants brutally assaulted a resident of Raheja Navodaya in Sector 92 in broad daylight in Gurugram city on Tuesday morning.

As per the information, the incident took place at around 9:30 am when the victim, Manas Pachauri, was at a local shop near the neighbouring society SARE Homes.  He was in conversation with the vendor when suddenly two cars, without number plates, carrying around 8-10 men stopped and they started beating him with iron rods. Later, they fled from the spot.

Currently, Manas is admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon. He suffered multiple fractures in hand and legs.

Shweta Pachauri, wife of the victim said, "We don't know who did this and what was the motive behind the attack. I have made a complaint with the police but they are just doing formalities. We are helpless and shock to know that one person has been brutally attacked in broad daylight by 8-10 goons and nobody came for his help."

Meanwhile, residents raised their concerns over the security in the area. Prashant Kathuria, Vice President of Raheja Navodaya said, "We are planning to meet the higher authorities and we will raise our security concern with them. With a rising population, criminal activities are also rising in our area. We will demand to increase frequent patrolling along with Police beatbox.

SHO Sector 10A said, "The police have registered a complaint against the unidentified people and the investigation in the matter is underway. Hence, I will not be able to comment further."
