Dwarka: Brahma Apartments get Organic Waste Composter

With an aim to turn domestic organic waste into natural manure and to manage waste at the society level, Dwarka's Brahma Apartment, Sector 7, has received a waste composting machine.

Secretary of the society, Munish Kundra said that the society has been managing its waste and generating compost for horticulture purpose. Kundra said, "This is first of its kind in Dwarka and Delhi. We are happy to become the first society to have such a facility."

Kundra further added that residents are segregating waste at the source level and remaining work is done by the machine.

"Waste management is one of the most alarming issues of today as landfills sites are filling up. This is one of the major problems challenging the world. We have started and we will be a leader in such a sustainable model,” said Kundra.

The machine was given through MLALAD fund and area MLA  Bhawana Gaur inaugurated it. Gaur plans to put similar machines in all 54 societies of Palam Vidhansabha.
