The deceased was a student of class 11th in a Ghaziabad school.
A 15-year-old girl fell from the balcony of her home located at the eighth floor in Cherry County in Greater Noida on Thursday, who later succumbed to her injuries. The deceased was identified as Khushi Arya, told Bishrakh police.
Immediately after the incident, the girl was rushed to Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, where she died of her injuries. The body was sent for the postmortem and later it was handed over to the family, police said.
“Parents told that they were at home when the incident occurred. The entire family is in shock,” said Manoj Pathak, SHO Bishrakh police station.
Sunil Sachdev, a resident said, “She was a brilliant student and a charming girl. She was the only daughter of her parents. The family was so happy and proud when she had secured 95% marks in her 10th class, they even had distributed sweets in society.”
Later, the deceased's body was taken to her native place for cremation in Shamli near Meerut. On the other hand, residents of Cherry County society organised a condolence meeting for the 15-year-old.
