Amidst the on-going tiff between the builder and residents of Mahagun Moderne, a residential society in sector 78 Noida, for the boundary wall, new issues have surfaced.

JLL, the maintenance agency that has been looking after the society for the last three years suddenly withdrew its staff on Friday after the residents questioned an increase of Rs 3 in DG sets charges.

Though the services were resumed after a few hours, the residents were informed that the builder has not paid dues of Rs. 7 crore to the maintenance agency for the last six months.

JLL staff includes over 300 people including lift operator, electrician and plumber.

The residents were also informed by the Noida Authority that the builder had not got a completion certificate and the registry was on hold because he had to pay Rs 40 crore to the department.

As per Sandeep Chauhan, President of the Apartment Owners Association (AOA) Mahagun Moderne, in 2012 the builder had brought Ganga water connection for only 1,300 flats while he was paid by all 2,700 flat owners, which has led to severe water shortage in society today.

Talking to CitySpidey Chauhan said, "The society is still under the builder and has not been handed over to the AOA, though it has been around for two years now".

Mahagun Moderne has over 2,700 flats with an occupancy of ten thousand people.
