Noida Industrial Development Authority is leaving no stone unturned to improve its ranking in Swachh Survekshan 2020 after it secured a low rank of 150 in Swachh Survekshan 2019.
The authority launched Safaigiri on 25th August, 2019 with an aim to make the city clean.
After being carried out in sectors 51, 53 and 19, now residents of Shatabdi Vihar, a housing society in Sector 52, and sector 35 carried out Safaigiri in their residential pockets. Officials from Noida Industrial Development Authority too participated in cleanliness drive.
Anjali Sachdeva, General Secretary of RWA, Shatabdi Vihar said, “We will not stop the cleanliness drive in our residential pocket till it becomes a regular affair for us.”
“We wanted a behavioural change for maintaining cleanliness which commenced from today,” she added.
Residents of both the sectors collected garbage from each corner of their residential pockets. The collected garbage was then stored at one place from where it was taken for disposal.
Besides contributing in cleanliness drive, N P Singh, former president of Federation of Noida Resident Welfare Association and a resident of Sector 35, welcomed officers from the authority for visiting his residential pocket and carrying out cleanliness drive.
