Few residents of Noida and Greater Noida area are doing their every bit in making the world a better place with more plants and less plastic.
Lately, Noida based Greno Green Foundation has been doing some tremendous work in the National Capital Region (NCR) by carrying out plantation, maintenance and no single-use plastic drives.
On Saturday morning, the volunteers of the foundation carried out a plant maintenance drive at the central verge in front of Gaur Sports Wood in Noida's Sector 79.
When CitySpidey spoke to Mahendra Singh, one of the volunteers and a resident of Gaur Sports Woods, he said that lack of greenery around him forced to join the group and conduct drives.
Prayag, another volunteer said, “The climate change is evident. If we won't do anything now, it will be too late.”
“In the morning, the volunteers of the foundation carried out the post plantation drive in the area where plantation was done on August 9 on the occasion of Van Mahotsav,” said Sanwarjeet Singh, a core member of the foundation.
In August, the foundation had planted 35 Neem trees which have now started to bloom.
"Post-plantation maintenance is equally important as plants are like babies and they too need nurturing and care", Sanwarjeet told our reporter.
