Preparations are in fullswing in Dwarka to celebrate Durga Puja in style. Residents will observe the festival with pomp and pageantry with colourful lights and bright pandals dotting the cityscape. The pandals and statues are being given final shape. Housing societies like Dakhisnayan Society and Air Force Naval Society Sector 7 have lined up special programmes within their premises while organisations like Bangla Samaj, Aaikotan, Deepanvita and Aagomoni are in the forefront to splurge on the festivities at a grand scale with panache. 

Deepanwita Sector 22

Deepanwita is celebrating the Duga Puja at Sector 22 on a grand scale. The celebration here is famous for its cultural events which attracts huge crowds every year. This year too, the Puja Committee has decided to give community artists full scope to showcase their raw talent.

Secretray of the Puja Committee, Sait Chatrjee, said, “Like the last few years, this time around Deepanwita Cultural Association, Sector 22 Dwarka, is organising Durga Puja, its 13th year, at the 5000 sqft DDA HAF area, Sector 22 from October 3 to 8. A massive theme pandal is being erected with a specially dedicated theme which will be a surprise. All the related departments like Puja Bedi, Cultural, Bhog and Competition are working on war footing to meet the deadline.

Bangia Samaj at Sector 6

The Bangia Samaj is celebrating puja at Sector 6 DDA ground on a grand scale. It is one of the biggest celebrations of the sub city in which eminent artists from Bollywood and Kolkata performs every year.

Dakshinayan Society Sector 3

One of the oldest societies in Dwarka which celebrates Durga Puja in a traditional Bengal style will organise the biggest puja inside its premises. It attracts community crowds from across the sub city owing to its variety of programmes based on folk traditions.

Aaikotan Puja Sector 4

The puja celebrations of Aaikotan is being organised at Sector 4. This is the 19th year of celebration by Aaikotan. Known for its splendid statue they install every year, the celebration is more focused on Bangla tradition and Bangla artists.

Agomoni Puja at Sector 14

Agomni Durga Puja Committee is organising Durga Puja celebrations at Sector 14 DDA ground on a large scale. A big pandal is being erected for the puja inside the premises and the preparations taking pace. The puja is known for participation of the community and persormance of artists from Bengal and Bollywood.
