5.7-magnitude earthquake hits Delhi-NCR

A 5.7 magnitude earthquake shook Delhi-NCR region on Tuesday evening. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicentre was located at a depth of 8 km.

Tremors were felt in parts of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir.

The epicentre of the earthquake is reported to be 81 km away from Pakistan's Rawalpindi. 

As per the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 at Richter scale struck 173 km North-West of Lahore, Pakistan, at 4:33 pm.
