Century Apartments: Residents contribute generously for crockery bank

Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi envisioned plastic-free India, many residential societies have come up with initiatives to launch crockery bank in order to dissuade use of plastic and thermocol plates during parties and functions.

Now, residents of Century Apartments, a residential society in Sector 100, Noida, have started contributing generously to launch crockery bank in the society.

Pawan Yadav, president of the society said they have taken inspiration from the Noida Authority's crockery bank which was started at stadium in Sector 21A.

Yadav said, “We have aimed to create a bank having total capacity of 200 sets of utensils. Out of this figure, 51 sets have been donated by me. Residents were requested to donate at least one set per family.”

Yadav said that residents are generously contributing for crockery bank. “Within two days of appeal to residents, we have achieved the target set for creating a bank in the society,” he added.
