The Noida Authority on Wednesday started the online process of issuing occupancy certificates (OC) for residential buildings at the ready-to-move stage in its area.
The authority has taken the initiative in a bid to speed up the process of issuing OC for the residential projects. The UP RERA has reportedly issued a notification stating that all local government bodies should issue an OC to every ready building within a week.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Noida Authority Ritu Maheshwari, inaugurated the online facility on Wednesday in the presence of officials from all departments.
The officials were of the view that with the online process issuance of OCs will be fast-tracked. Till now, the authority had a manual system of issuing OCs, under which a builder or individual applicant would submit an application along with the requisite NOCs. Then the authority’s urban town planning department would process them.
“Now, an applicant need not visit the authority office, he can do so online. The authority will also start issuing OCs for commercial and other projects soon,” said an official.
