Conceding to the request of the residents of Jal Vayu Vihar, a society in Sector 21 and Sector 25 in Noida, Energasia, a private agency, has dropped the idea of installing a mobile tower in the society. The residents had reached a consensus on declining the offer of the mobile tower in view its harmful radition. The residents thanked Energasia dropping its plan in deference to their wish.

On Tuesday evening, the agency had held a briefing on the prospects of the tower for the residents at E block park on their request, where experts on the subject informed them that though the network connection of their phones would improve by the tower, the tower might have a negative impact on their health. After listening to them, they made an appeal to the agency not to go ahead with the installation of the tower saying they could compromise on the quality of network, but not on their health.

The agency had set up a base for the mobile tower five days ago with an aim to provide better mobile network to the colony. However, the move caused anxiety among the residents who feared that the upcoming tower would pose a health hazard for them. They also took offence to the fact that the work for the tower was undertaken without prior information to them.

Since the residents are well aware about the harmful radiation such towers emit, they had convened an emergency meeting among last Saturday and discussed about the matter. At the meeting, they decided to request Energasia for a briefing on the subject. Energasia readily agreed to their request and conducted held the briefing session.

After the meeting, they arrived at the conclusion that they won't go for the tower and hence made an appeal against it. The Energasia gracefully accepted their request and promised to not to undertake the construction.

As the matter ended on a positive note, the residents thanked Energasia for its decision to withdraw the proposal to install the tower in the society and its officials for their painstaking briefing on the subject.
