Noida Authority plans a one-stop hub for entertainment

With an aim to attract tourists, Noida Industrial Development Authority has given go-ahead to a project for amusement hub. The amusement hub will include a golf course-cum-clubhouse, tourist spots like Chowki Dhani, a restaurant chain, and a helipad in Sector 151A of the city.

In addition to this, the authority has proposed a convention centre for Sector 94 along with a start-up hub at phase-2 on the seventh floor of multi-level parking at Botanical Garden. The decision was taken during authority's 197th board meeting on Friday.

The meeting was chaired by Alok Tandon, Chairman of all the three industrial development authorities in the district. Ritu Maheshwari, Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority, Narendra Bhooshan, CEO of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and Arun Vir Singh, CEO of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority were present at the meeting.

As per the officials, the authority had identified 120 acre land for the amusement hub, out of which around 90 acre will be utilised in the creation of golf course-cum-clubhouse, whereas 20 acre of land will be earmarked for adventure sport. The remaining 10 acre will be allocated for construction of a helipad under the public-private partnership (PPP).

Once completed, the facility will not only benefit the locals but is also likely to attract tourists, the officials informed.
