Apartment Owners association (AOA) of Lotus Boulevard Espacia recently hired another security agency to replace the existing one.
Residents of Lotus Boulevard Espacia, a high rise in Sector 100, Noida, on Sunday staged a protest demonstration against a private maintenance agency appointed by the society’s developer.
Their grouse is that the agency is not handing over maintenance of the society to its elected management board despite an order of the Noida Authority to this effect.
Apartment Owners association (AOA) of Lotus Boulevard Espacia recently hired another security agency to replace the existing one. However, the residents complained that the existing maintenance agency opposed the AoA's move strongly and did not allow the new agency to assume the charge.
Rajiv Nijhawan, a resident of the society, said they have given a notice to gravity facility management, the agency currently providing maintenance services in the society, informing that they would take over the maintenance of the society from October 1. “But its staff has misbehaved with senior citizens last night. Rather than discontinuing their services they deployed bouncers threatening the residents of disrupting power supply in the society,” he added.
Considering all these, the society’s management board has decided to take over the maintenance of the society in advance, he informed.
He said, "The current agency did not allow the new agency to take over the security services which is why we staged a protest against them.”
In July, the Noida Authority had ordered the developer, Cloud 9 Private Ltd, to hand over the maintenance to the elected resident body immediately. But the agency has been operating in the society violating the authority’s order.
