Resident seeks Noida Authority's help to stop commercial activities

A resident of Supertech Ecociti, a society in Noida's Sector 137, wrote to the Noida Authority seeking its intervention to stop commercial activities in the society.

Vishnu Saini, a resident of Ecociti, in his letter, requested the authority to take action against the builder for allowing commercial activities inside the society by providing space for convenience shops at Tower LM which was not given a Completion Certificate (CC) as yet.

Talking to CitySpidey, Saini, said, "Since Tower LM has not been given CC by the Noida Authority, the registration of the flats could not be started. It is in this tower that the builder is running commercial shops with impunity.”

He said the lives of 1,500 residents of the society is endangered because of the on-going commercial activities as these activities give access to others to enter the society.

Cars of the visitors parked on the road add to the chaos in the society, he added.

Saini complained that visitors to the shops park their cars on the road blocking the way to the society.

He further alleged the builder did not obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for fire for running commercial shops and restaurants at the tower.

“In fact, there are no fire detection and prevention system in place for these restaurants and commercial ventures which was also confirmed by a fire officer on November 6, 2018, when he had come on a surprise visit based on my IGRS complaint,” Saini said.

"These commercial activities are also causing health hazards to the residents besides danger of security,” he said.
