Residents of Jalvayu Vihar, Sector 21, Noida, joined hands for a green cause. They organised a tree-planting drive on Saturday morning with collaboration from members of the Laughter Yoga Club.
Their plan was to plant at least 100 saplings at the event. The event was aimed at creating a greener society, keeping global warming and air pollution levels in mind.
Narendra Mahajan, resident of Jalvayu Vihar and a member of Laughter Yoga Club, said that these plants will be taken care of by the members of Laughter Yoga Club itself. The participants planted various saplings such as bougainvillea, hibiscus, champa, motia and tulsi.
Rajvir Rohilla, another member, told City Spidey that their aim was to plant 1,000 trees across the society before monsoon. "Every member of Laughter Yoga Club contributed Rs 50 for the cause," he added.
