Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on Tuesday asked the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to conduct a comprehensive survey of Dwarka area to devise a decongestion plan.

The lieutenant governor was speaking at a meeting with officials of DDA, Delhi Traffic Police, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) and School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) to devise a plan to decongest Dwarka.

Later, he tweeted, “During the meeting, I emphasised on intercity and intracity linkages, street redesign, junction improvement, promotion of non-motorised transport, improved accessibility, local area parking management and intelligent traffic management to reduce both number of trips and travel time.”

The survey is expected to be completed by June 2020.
