The 46-year-old property dealer, who was shot at on Thursday evening inside Gaur City in Greater Noida West, in his complaint to the police named five persons he suspects to have involved in the bid on his life. 

Anil Chauhan miraculously escaped when two bike-borne assailants opened fire at him inside 6th Avenue of Gaur City.

Talking to CitySpidey, Chauhan said he had bought a property in Noida's Mamura village from five men. “There is a dispute with these men ever since I bought the property,” he said.

“I have paid Rs 98 lakh in cheque and Rs 2.5 crore in cash to them for the property,” He added.

GreNo: Property dealer shot at in Gaur City; assailants at large

Confirming registeration of a case against unknown persons under Section 307 (attempt to murder) of Indian Penal Code (IPC), Manoj Pathak, SHO Bisrakh, said, “CCTV footage has been scanned and the matter is being investigated.”

As per Chauhan, the incident accured when he returned from his office and parked his car in the open parking space just opposite to his apartment complex at 7.20 pm on Thursday.

“I had just got out and was locking locking the car when three men waylaid me. Two of them asked me to stand in attention. Then, one of them fired at me. Luckily he missed the target.Before he could fire at me for the second time, I ran for my life. I was running towards my apartment. another man opened fire.”

After two failed attempts, the assailants escaped from the spot. According to eyewitnesses, the motorcycle-borne men had been shadowing Chauhan when he was on his way home.
