The Gautam Budh Nagar district administration has directed the police department to directly book any person who sold one plot to multiple buyers under the Gangsters' Act without formal FIR.

The administration has also ordered officials to resolve any issue between the resident welfare associations (RWAs) and builders on a priority basis.

District magistrate BN Singh directed the officials to ensure that no illegal construction should come up in Jewar and Shahberi issue should be dealt in the most effective manner.

The officials have also been directed  to hold meetings with the RWAs, Apartment Owners Associations ( AoAs), and others in order to build a better communication channel to help in maintaining the law and order situation in the district.

He has  asked officials to identify troublemakers and book them under relevant sections of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

Recently, many cases have been reported with Noida and Greater Noida authorities about the negligence and cheating on the part of the builders.

Often, residents try to reach the police, administration and authorities with their problems on Twitter. Lately, it has been seen that effective measures have been taken by the Noida Authority under its new CEO.

Notably, before these directions came, the Noida police has arrested three builders including a woman who had cheated over 500 homebuyers by selling them plots in the Shahberi area.

The Greater Noida authority too has ordered an inquiry against its officials who had issued occupancy certificates to projects without checking whether sewage treatment plants are functional or not.
