GDA to survey construction status of societies with CC

The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will undertake a survey to assess the status of construction work for various housing projects in Ghazaibadthis this week. The survey is being carried out on a directive given by the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) after scrutinising the list of housing societies in Ghaziabad having completion certificate.

As per the instructions of the RERA, after completion of the survey, the authority has to submit a report to the before issuing completion certificates to the societies.

The survey will be conducted on the housing societies which came into existence after tear 2010. GDA officials are confident that they will be able to complete the survey and file a status report within two weeks.

Last week, in a meeting with RERA officials, the GDA had submitted a detailed report about the list of societies' completion certificate. However, it has not submit details of the status of construction in all the societies till date, a senior official pointed out.

This is the reason why the RERA asked the GDA to submit another report with details of the current construction status of the societies, which have yet to be issued completion certificate or have partial completion certificate, the official added.

The GDA had prepared an extensive report about the status of completion certificates issued to societies which came into existence after year 2010.

A total of 118 such societies have come under the scanner of the GDA. It has issued notices to all these societies to apply for completion certificate within a month. So far, only nine of them have received the completion certificate while 43 others have received a partial completion certificate.

In the report, the GDA admitted having sanctioned layout plan of 127 societies. Of which, nine have received completion certificate while 43 societies have taken completion certificate of only a few towers. They have yet to seek the completion certificate of their whole project.
