A sector 61 based resident group, Balaka Bengali Cultural Association, is set to organise 'Colour of Bengal', a theme based dance and musical extravaganza. among various cultural events lined up for tomorrow's Durga Puja celebration.

Anuj K Chakraborty of the association proudly claimed that there had always been an aura around the evening of Balaka Puja when popular artists perform on stage to an enthralled audience. Considering this, they have invited artists from Rythme School of Music, Noida and Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi. 

Besides, the association has invited Mekhla Dasgupta, a well-known playback singer and TV artist of Sa Re Ga Ma, a reality show, to perform on stage and entertain the audience.

The cultural programme will start shortly after a formal event to mark the opening of the annual festival. Maharaja of Rama Krishna Mission, New Delhi has been invited to offer aarti (lights lit and offered up to a deity) on Maha Saptamee, which falls on October 5, in the evening.

The association will also commemorate Manna Dey and Mahatma Gandhi and martyrs of Jaliyanwala Bagh, on their 150 and 100 birth anniversaries respectively.
