Further investigation is under progress and efforts are being made for more recoveries.
Dwarka police on Friday arrested three persons for being involved in seven cases of snatching and auto thefts in the area. The arrested persons were Ravi Yadav, Rahul and Praveen Mishra.
During last few months, many incidents of snatching and auto thefts were reported from the area of Dwarka North police station.
To check these incidents, the police had deployed sources to get clue about criminals active in the area.
As per police, they got information that three criminals would be coming to Dwarka to commit snatching.
“During checking, we saw three persons coming on a bike. We signalled them to stop but they accelerated speed of the bike. We were successful in nabbing them,” said a police official.
Police were successful in recovering one semi-automatic pistol along with two live cartridges, one button operated knife, five stolen motorcycles and scooties and 6 snatched mobile phones.
Police said, “During sustained interrogation, accused persons confessed their involvements in many cases. They said that they used master keys to steal motorcycle and scooties.”
