A resident of Logix Blossom County, a residential society in Noida’s sector 137, has been running a campaign to create awareness about the women health in her area and conducting free health workshops to help in stress management through Yoga and meditation.

The most recent workshop was conducted on Sunday at Gulshan Vivantae in Sector 137 which saw a participation of females from all walks of life.

Deepti Goel, the coordinator of the workshop told CitySpidey that she has been practicing Yoga for quite some time now and feels that women of today live a very stressful life.

Through the workshop, Deepti tries to explain to other female residents about how they can unwind stress by meditating. She also simultaneously treats lifestyle diseases like PCOD and early menopause.

Talking to CitySpidey, Deepti said, “Today, we see a drastic rise in lifestyles ailments among female children as young as 9 or 10 years because of the unhealthy lifestyle. It has been seen that women give least priority to their health and live a very stressful life which is root cause of all the problems.”

“We try to educate and help women about the benefits of Yoga, acupuncture, and naturopathy. We explain how infertility, PCOD, and other women's diseases are interlinked with stress and other external factors and can be treated with patience and positivity,” she added.

On being asked about her motivation to start this initiative, Deepti said that after joing the Women Health Research Foundation (WHRF), she shared her idea with the team members who promptly agreed to work for it.

She said that female ailments like infertility have become money churning business for the hospitals.

“Take the case of IVF, where the doctors doesn't explain it to patients that it might not work. The unsuccessful attempts create more stress in the woman. Women need to be told that all the ailments are nothing but hormonal flow which can be treated with lifestyle changes.” she added.
