Civitech Sampriti residents oppose public toilet at entrance online

Residents of Civitech Sampriti, a high rise in Sector 77, Noida, went online to protest construction of a community toilet beside the entrance of their society. They have been demanding relocation of the toilet from the present site to the road opposite the sector.

The concern of the residents is that the toilet would be a source of inconvenience to them as it is being built right at the entrance of the society.

In his post on the social media, Vaibhav Srivastava, a resident of the society, urged the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari, to built the toilet on the opposite road. He conveyed to her the deep concern of the the residents of the society over the toilet being built next to the entrance gate as it would result in traffic jam.

The toilet is being built by the Noida Industrial Development Authority for the convenience of general public. It has already dug up the site for laying the foundation stone. As soon as the residents came to know about the construction of a community toilet, they started opposing it.

Another resident retweeted urging the Noida CEO to relocate the site of the toilet. In his post, he said it would be better if the toilet is constructed on the other side of the road. The construction of the toilet would cause huge traffic congestion and jams making it difficult even for the needy people to use the toilet.

Himanshu Gulati, another resident, said, “It would be good if it’s built on the other side of the road and not right next to the entrance of the society. We completely agree with the need of having one but it should not become a nuisance and blockage point.”
