Ultimatum to 'BJP man' to demolish illegal construction in Grand Omaxe

The troubles of Srikant Tyagi, a self-proclaimed BJP supporter, have escalated with a team of Noida Industrial Development Authority comprising two officials found new construction near his flat in Grand Omaxe which clearly violates approved building plan.

Speaking to |City Spidey, one of the two officials said that a notice has been served on Tyagi asking him to demolish the illegal construction in the open area beside his flat in the society. He was also told him to submit an action taken report (ATR) with the authority after clearing the illegal construction within a stipulated period of 15 days starting from now on onward.

The official said if he fails to clear the illegal construction, which was carried out recently by him, the authority would be forced to remove them. In that case, he would have to bear the cost of demolition.

The apartment owner association of Grand Omaxe, a high rise in Sector 93B, had lodged a complaint with Noida Authority against Tyagi accusing him of constructing a wall in common area, an unauthorised construction in the basement and raising the height of boundary wall.

The construction was restarted by Tyagi on October 15 following which the residents had informed the authority. A two-member team from the authority visited the society for stopping the ongoing construction. Police had also come on the site instructing Tyagi not to restart the construction.

Earlier, Tyagi's men were caught on camera abusing the residents, who had come out objecting to the illegal construction in common areas. The residents also wrote to local police demanding action against him.
