Karva Chauth was celebrated across the Gurugram city with traditional fervour and gaiety. Women in different societies had a gala time observing the rituals associated with the festival such as fasting the whole day for the longevity of their husbands, breaking fast after sighting of the Moon in the evening.
A collective Puja was organised on the occasion in the parks of the societies where the ladies gathered to pass their Karva and prayed for marital bliss.
Women were decked up in traditional dresses to look their best for the occasion.
After the puja, they sang and danced together to enjoy the moment while eagerly waiting for the Moon to offer their prayers for the well-being and long life of their husbands and eventually break their fast.
Here's a peek into the Karva Chauth celebrations in various Gurugram societies.
