Spilt water on Noida, GreNo roads tell a story of civic negligence

At a time when the Noida-Greater Noida region is struggling with an acute water crisis, freshwater can be found spilt on roads at many places. The source of this spillage is either leaking taps or broken pipelines.

Several residents of Greater Noida on Saturday approached CitySpidey to register their complaint against the negligent attitude of the Greater Noida Authority officials. They said despite several complaints made in over a week about a broken freshwater source near Pari Chowk, nothing was done to fix it.

Talking to CitySpidey, Ashu, one of the complainants, said, "This water supply source is broken for over a week now. I complained about it on the Mitra app, but it was to no avail.”
Many other Greater Noida residents have the same refrain regarding the much touted Mitra app.

A regular visitor to the Pari Chowk area also told CitySpidey that the water pipe had broken a few months back too and was repaired after weeks. He feared dengue outbreak if action was not taken urgently as the accumulated water is not only stagnating in the green belt but also is making its way on to the road.
