Residents of various residential sectors in Noida complained to Noida Industrial Development Authority about poor quality water being supplied to them. They said that the quality of the water was so low that it is not worthy of consumption.
Pointing out that providing clean potable water to the citizens is an essential service, A P Joshi, a resident of Sector 51, lamented that the administration has failed to meet even this basic criterion of the civic responsibility.
The scarcity of water has marred the festive spirit of the residents at a time when the festival season is on peak.
Residents of Sector 105 are the worst hit from the shortage of water. Pradeep Saxena, RWA president of pocket A, Sector 105, expressed his concern over the dirty water being supplied to them. He said that they were often supplied with dirty water.
“I concede that whenever we took up the matter with concerned officials of the authority, it is resolved. But the resolution always proves shortlived till the problem arises again,” he said.
