Honda Flyover carriageway closed for a month for repair

The main carriageway of Hero Honda Flyover on National Highway-48 will remain closed from October 31 to December 1 due to deck slab restoration work. During this period, traffic moving in the direction of Delhi from Jaipur will be diverted, said an advisory issued by the traffic police.

The repair work on the Hero Honda Flyover, which has been pending for several months, will soon be started by National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

Traffic police are gearing up to meet the exigencies arising from the closure of the carriageway. ACP rank officers will monitor the traffic situation throughout the repair work. Traffic inspector and zonal office will ensure the smooth traffic movement on the entire stretch.

Commuters coming from Jaipur and going towards Delhi will use the service lane to move straight while those travelling from Jaipur to Subhash Chowk will use the service lane and then take a right turn under the flyover towards Subhash Chowk.

Similarly, commuters going to Jaipur from Umang Bhardwaj will have to use the underpass to go straight before taking a U-turn after coming out from the underpass and then take a left turn for Jaipur.

While those coming from Delhi to Umang Bharadwaj Chowk will have to take a left turn towards Subhash Chowk and then take a U-turn to move towards Umang Bharadwaj Chowk through the underpass.

Commuters from Subhash Chowk-Delhi will have to take a left turn towards Jaipur and before a U-turn under the flyover to move towards Delhi.

For commuting to Jaipur from Delhi, passengers can continue using the flyover to move straight.

In May this year, a portion of the slab fell off the surface of the flyover which led to the closure of movement of heavy vehicles. The flyover was opened for public in July 2017 but suffered damage in a short span of time.
